When installing on new concrete floor or rooms without basement and moist spaces (sauna, bathroom, kitchen) a durable 0.2 mm polyethylene membrane should be installed between the boards and subfloor, with an overlap at least 200 mm (relative air humidity in the room - 80%, subfloor moisture content by weight - 3,0%).

On the top of polyethylene membrane, a 2 mm cellular plastic or waved cardboard sheet should be installed for insulation from impact sound. If air humidity in the room is lower than 85% you can use Antishum. underlay as an alternative.

Adjacent Antishum underlay strips can be joined together by tape (without using polyethylene membrane). Observe the current impact sound regulations. Ventilated ground floor and intermediate floor structures do not usually require a separate waterproof insulation.
